Loopa Community Guidelines
Effective: August 16, 2026 · Last updated: August 16, 2026 · Version 3.0
These guidelines are part of the Terms of Service. Breaking them can cost you your account.
The short version
Loopa is an 18+ community. Everyone here is an adult, and we expect you to behave like one.
People come here mid-effort: losing weight, managing a condition, rebuilding a habit that has broken before. That takes a certain amount of nerve, and it does not survive an audience that mocks it. Be the reason someone posts again.
Three rules cover most of it:
- Talk to people, not at them.
- Share your own experience. Do not prescribe.
- Never make it harder for someone to eat normally.
1. Be civil
Disagree as much as you like. Insults, contempt and mockery are not disagreement.
- No personal attacks, name-calling or demeaning language.
- No hate speech or slurs: anything that attacks or dehumanizes people over race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, disease, age, sex, gender identity or sexual orientation.
- No body shaming. Not about anyone else, and not dressed up as concern. Commenting on another member's body, weight or photographs uninvited is out.
- Assume the person you are replying to is trying.
2. Do not break the law
- No illegal content, and nothing that facilitates illegal activity.
- No content that sexualizes, exploits or endangers a minor. See §12. This is reported to the authorities, not just deleted.
- No threats of violence, and nothing that incites it.
- No sale of prescription drugs, controlled substances, or unapproved treatments.
- No stolen or infringing material.
3. No spam or self-promotion
- Do not post the same thing across multiple threads.
- Do not promote a product, service or community without context. Answering a question with a link is fine; showing up to advertise is not.
- Disclose affiliate links. Undisclosed ones are removed and repeat offenders lose the account.
- No engagement farming with duplicate or fake accounts.
- No scraping, no bots, no automated posting.
4. No harassment
- Stop when asked. Do not contact someone who has blocked you or told you to stop, and do not use another account to get around it.
- No doxxing. Do not post anyone's real name, employer, address, phone number, photographs or anything else that identifies them without their consent, including your own family members.
- No pile-ons. A coordinated campaign against one member is harassment no matter how mild each individual post looks.
- No sexual harassment, unwanted sexual advances, or unsolicited sexual content in messages.
5. No impersonation
Do not pretend to be another member, a public figure, a moderator, a clinician, a dietitian or a Loopa employee. Parody is allowed if it is unmistakably parody; if people are fooled, it is impersonation.
Do not claim professional credentials you do not hold. Claiming to be a doctor or a registered dietitian in order to give advice, when you are not one, is grounds for removal.
6. Stay on topic
Each forum has a stated focus. Posts that do not fit get moved or removed, and off-topic conversation belongs in the general area. If your reply is heading somewhere new, start a thread.
7. Do not promote disordered eating
This is the rule we enforce most strictly, because this is a community full of people counting things.
- No promotion of starvation-level restriction, purging, or exercise framed as punishment for eating. Not as a joke, not as a challenge, not as "what works for me".
- No goal weights, calorie floors or fast lengths posted as targets for others to beat. Competing over how little someone eats is out.
- No techniques for hiding eating behavior from the people around you, or from a clinician.
- No methods for defeating Loopa's own safety guardrails.
- No "before" photographs used to shame a body, including your own past one.
Talking about your own experience is welcome. Describing a disorder you have lived with, asking for help, or telling people what recovery actually looked like is not what this rule is about. The line is promotion, not the subject.
Report it as Promotes disordered eating rather than "Other". It tells the moderator what they are about to open.
If you are struggling: the National Eating Disorders Association has a free, confidential screening tool at nationaleatingdisorders.org. In the US you can call or text 988 at any hour. In the UK, Beat is on 0808 801 0677. In Canada, the NEDIC helpline is 1-866-633-4220.
8. Health talk, not medical advice
Share what happened to you. Do not tell another member what to do with their body.
- Never tell someone to start, stop or change a prescription medication, or suggest a dose. Not vitamins, not supplements, not anything.
- Do not diagnose anyone. "That sounds like X, get it checked" is fine; "you have X" is not.
- Do not present general information as advice for a specific person's situation.
- Do not promote unproven or dangerous protocols: extreme fasts, purges, detoxes, unregulated peptides, or anything sold as a cure.
- If someone describes something that sounds like an emergency, tell them to seek care. Do not try to manage it in a thread.
Nothing in this community is medical advice, including anything a moderator says.
9. Privacy and intellectual property
- Do not post another person's private information, messages or photographs without their permission.
- Do not screenshot a private conversation into a public thread.
- Post what you own or have the right to post. Quote and credit; do not reproduce entire articles.
- Copyright complaints go to dmca@mobieus.io. See §13 of the Terms of Service.
10. Sexual and sensitive content
Loopa is 18+, and it is still not a place for sexual content.
- No pornography, no sexually explicit imagery, no sexual content of any kind in public areas.
- Progress photographs are welcome in the areas meant for them, in clothing you would wear to a gym or a pool. They are not an invitation for comment on your body from anyone who was not asked.
- Content showing self-harm, graphic injury or gore must not be posted.
- Discussion of a difficult subject (surgery, illness, relapse) is allowed and belongs here. Graphic imagery of it does not.
11. Reporting, blocking, and what we do about it
Report. Every post, comment, message and profile has a report control, and so does every friend request and every friend. Choose the closest reason; it routes the report to the right place. Reporting somebody offers to block them in the same step, because that is usually the moment you want it.
Block. You can block any member, whether or not you have ever been connected. Their posts and comments stop appearing for you, they cannot message you, they cannot send you a friend request, and any friendship or sharing between you ends immediately in both directions. They are not told, and nothing in Loopa will let them work it out. You can unblock at any time; it does not restore a friendship that ended.
Friend requests. Unwanted requests are covered by these rules like anything else. You can set who is allowed to send you one (including nobody) and there are limits on how many any member can send in a day, which tighten automatically for an account the community keeps reporting.
Our commitment: we review every report of objectionable content and act within 24 hours. Reports involving child safety, credible threats, or an apparent medical emergency are handled first, ahead of everything else.
Filtering. Threads and replies posted in the forums by members who are new to Loopa are checked against these guidelines by an automated classifier before they publish. If it is confident a post breaks a rule, the post is held rather than published and a moderator reviews it. Once you have been here a while and have a normal posting history, your posts skip the check entirely.
Three things about that filter, because an invisible one is worth distrusting:
- It fails open. If the check errors or times out, your post publishes. We would rather let something through and deal with a report than lose a post to a technical fault.
- A held post is not a decision. It becomes a report in the queue with a person behind it, subject to the same 24 hours as everything else.
- It reads forum posts only. Your direct messages are not screened, and nothing in your health log is.
Review. Every report is read by a person. A filter decides nothing on its own here.
Contact a human: support@mobieus.io. For anything about safety: safety@mobieus.io. Both are monitored, and a person answers.
12. Child Safety Standards (CSAE)
Loopa prohibits child sexual abuse and exploitation in every form. These are our published standards.
Zero tolerance. Child sexual abuse material, content that sexualizes a minor (real, illustrated, animated, or AI-generated) grooming, sextortion, solicitation of a minor, and trafficking are prohibited absolutely. No exceptions, no warnings. Content is removed and the account is terminated on the first offense.
Age. Loopa is an 18+ service. Accounts found to belong to someone under 18 are closed and the data deleted.
Reporting to authorities. Apparent child sexual abuse material and child exploitation are reported to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and to law enforcement as required by law, including under 18 U.S.C. § 2258A. Reports may also go to Cybertip.ca in Canada and to the relevant INHOPE hotline in Europe. We preserve evidence as the law requires.
In-app reporting. Use the report control on any content or member to flag suspected child sexual abuse or exploitation. These reports are prioritized above all other moderation work and are reviewed by a person.
Designated point of contact. safety@mobieus.io, subject line "Child Safety". This address is monitored and is our designated contact for regulators, platforms and child safety organizations.
Prevention. Our standards are published here and are part of the Terms of Service every member accepts. Moderators are instructed to escalate immediately rather than handle it themselves. We review these standards at least annually.
If a child is in immediate danger, contact local law enforcement first. In the US you can report directly to NCMEC at report.cybertip.org; in Canada at cybertip.ca; in the UK to the Internet Watch Foundation at iwf.org.uk.
13. Moderators
Moderators are volunteers and staff who keep the place usable. Follow their instructions in the moment; if you think one got it wrong, appeal it (§15) rather than arguing in the thread.
Impersonating a moderator, or claiming a decision came from one when it did not, is grounds for removal.
14. How enforcement works
We match the response to what happened, not to who did it.
| Removal | The content goes; usually a first, minor issue |
| Warning | Recorded on the account; repeat issues escalate |
| Temporary suspension | Days to weeks, for repeated or serious breaches |
| Permanent ban | Severe breaches, or a pattern that has not changed |
| Immediate permanent ban | Child safety, credible threats of violence, doxxing, and coordinated harassment: no warning, first offense |
We may also remove content without any action against the account when it is a simple mistake.
Ban evasion (a new account after a ban) is itself a permanent ban, and we treat the original decision as confirmed.
15. Appeals
If your content was removed or your account restricted, email support@mobieus.io with your username and what happened. Someone who was not part of the original decision reviews it and replies within 7 days. Say what you think was misread; do not re-litigate the content itself.
Child safety decisions are not appealable.
16. Changes
We update these guidelines as the community grows and as new problems appear. The date at the top says which version you are reading, and we announce material changes in the community before they take effect.
