Loopa on the web matches your device. When your phone, tablet or computer is set to dark mode, Loopa turns dark; when it is set to light, Loopa is light. If your device switches automatically at sunset, Loopa switches with it, right on the page you are reading, with no reload.
There is nothing to set up inside Loopa. Light and dark mode work for every member, subscribed or not.
== Changing it ==
Change the appearance setting on your device and Loopa follows:
- '''iPhone and iPad''': Settings → Display & Brightness → Light, Dark or Automatic.
- '''Android''': Settings → Display → Dark theme.
- '''Mac''': System Settings → Appearance.
- '''Windows''': Settings → Personalization → Colors → Choose your mode.
== What dark mode looks like ==
Dark mode uses Loopa's own deep navy rather than a flat grey, so it stays easy on the eyes in a dark room. Your numbers stay large and bright, labels stay quiet, and buttons keep Loopa's purple. Loopa's colors for text and controls are measured against the WCAG AA contrast guidelines in both modes, so everything stays comfortable to read.
Some things look the same in both modes on purpose:
- '''Your photos''': progress photos and meal photos are never dimmed or recolored.
- '''Reports and exports''': the PDF report and the clinician and protocol exports always use a white page, because they are documents you may print or send on.
