Editorial pass for house style across the knowledge base

'''Your food diary opens again.''' Pick a day, see what you ate grouped by meal, open a meal down to the individual foods. Put any of it back on the plate on any day you like.

Meal history is part of '''Loopa Premium'''.

== Getting there ==

'''Health → Food → History.'''

The screen opens on today with a calendar above it. A day you logged food on carries a marker under its number, so the weeks you tracked are visible at a glance.

* '''Tap a day''' on the calendar to open it. * '''Use the arrows''' either side of the date to move a day at a time without going back to the calendar. * '''Use the arrows''' either side of the month name to change month.

Days that have not happened yet cannot be opened.

== What a day shows ==

Your meals, in the order you eat them (breakfast, lunch, dinner, snack, dessert, pre-workout, post-workout), each with how many items are on it and its calories. Under the date you get the day's own totals: calories, protein, carbs and fat.

A day with nothing logged says so and names the day, so you know you are looking at an empty Tuesday rather than a screen that has not loaded.

'''Tap a meal''' to open it.

== What a meal shows ==

Every food on it, one line each, with its calories and macros. Where a food never carried a figure (fiber is the common one), the line shows a dash rather than a zero, because nobody measured it.

At the top: the meal's own calories, protein, carbs, fat and fiber.

== Copying a meal or a food to a day ==

=== A whole meal ===

1. Open the meal. 1. Tap '''Copy This Meal To A Day'''. 1. Pick the '''day'''. Today is offered first. 1. Pick the '''meal''' it should land in. It starts on '''Same as source''', so a lunch stays a lunch unless you say otherwise. 1. Tap '''Copy'''.

=== A single food ===

Tap the '''⋯''' at the end of the line and choose '''Copy to a day'''. The same picker opens.

=== Several foods at once ===

Tick the circle at the start of each line you want. A bar appears at the bottom with the count on it. Tap '''Copy''' there.

=== What copying does, and does not do ===

* '''The original stays exactly where it is.''' A copy reads your log; it never moves anything out of it. * '''It adds.''' Anything already logged on the day you copy to is still there afterwards. If that leaves you with something twice, delete the one you do not want. * '''The quantities come across unchanged''', and so does the volume of a drink. A bottle of tea copied to Thursday is still the same bottle of tea, and still counts toward Thursday's fluids. * '''The day's totals are recalculated''' the moment the copy lands. * '''Copying onto an earlier day''' stamps it midday on that day rather than the time you pressed the button.

== Building a meal out of what you have eaten ==

1. Open a meal in your history. 1. Tick the foods you want, then tap '''Draft''', or tap '''Add every item to a meal draft''' to take the lot. 1. '''Keep going.''' Move to another day and add from that meal too. The draft follows you; changing day does not empty it. 1. Open the draft from the counter at the top of the history screen. 1. '''Add anything else''' from the food database, the barcode scanner or your own custom foods, exactly as you would when logging. 1. Adjust the amounts, remove what you do not want, give it a '''name''' and pick the meal you usually eat it as. 1. Tap '''Save To My Meals'''.

From then on it is an ordinary saved meal: it appears in '''My Meals''' and anywhere else saved meals do, and logging it is one tap.

Saved meals themselves are free. Reading your history to build one is Premium.

== Excluding a food ==

Any food in your history can go on your never-eat list from the line it is on.

1. Tap the '''⋯''' at the end of the line. 1. Choose '''Exclude this food'''. 1. Pick a '''reason''' if you want one (allergy, intolerance, medical reason, religious, ethical, didn't like it, or other). It is optional. 1. Tap '''Exclude'''.

'''This is the same list you keep in Settings''', reached from somewhere new. Loopa stops suggesting the food, and flags it if it turns up in a meal plan or a meal idea.

'''Your log is not touched.''' Excluding a food says what to stop offering you; it does not edit what you ate.

'''There is an Undo''' on the confirmation, and it appears only when the food was not already on your list, so tapping Undo cannot remove something you added weeks ago by mistake.

To see everything on the list, or take something off it, tap the '''hand''' icon at the top of the history screen.

== Questions people ask ==

'''How far back can I go?'''
A year in one range, and you can keep paging back beyond that.

'''Can I edit a meal from history?'''
Not from this screen. History shows what you logged; open the day in the Food log to change an entry.

'''Can I copy onto a future day?'''
No. The picker will not offer one.

'''I copied the wrong thing.'''
Open the day in your Food log and delete the entry, the same way you would delete anything else.
