**Some gyms, clubs and employers run their own Loopa**, with their own name and colors, at their own web address. Joining one is different from joining an organization inside Loopa: instead of adding a room to your account, it points the app at the gym's own Loopa, where you have a separate account.
If you were given an **eight-character** code, that is an organization inside Loopa; see [Joining an organization](/know/joining-an-organization). A **twelve-character** code (ABCD-EFGH-JKMN) is for a gym that runs its own Loopa, and this page is about that.
## Joining
# Open **My organizations** (on iPhone, **You › Gym, club or employer › My organizations**, or **Community › People › Organizations**). # Tap **Join with a code** and type the twelve characters into **INVITE CODE**. The dashes go in as you type. # Tap **Find it**. Loopa shows the gym's name and its web address, and says: "Joining points this app at . You will sign in again. Your Loopa account here is untouched and you can come back at any time." # Tap **Join **.
The app signs you out of Loopa, switches to the gym's address, and takes on the gym's name and color. Sign in there; if you have no account with the gym yet, create one. Your home-screen widgets and your Apple Watch follow the app to the new address.
If the code does not match a gym, you see "That code does not open anything. Check it and try again." If the gym's address is not one the app can open, you see "That organization's address is not one we can open." The same character rules apply as for any code: no O, I, L, U, 0 or 1, and Loopa will not guess at a mistype.
## What the gym can see
While the app is pointed at the gym, **My organizations** shows a card headed **THIS APP IS POINTED AT** with the gym's name and address, and **What they can and cannot see**:
* "Counts about its members: how many are active, how many are Premium, how many plans were shared and accepted." * "Not who those members are, and nothing any of them logged." * "Your individual data reaches one person only, a coach you granted access to, for exactly the fields you chose. Every read is listed in Your Data and you can withdraw it there."
Your account with the gym is its own account, with its own records. Nothing moves between it and your Loopa account. See [What your coach can see](/know/what-your-coach-can-see).
## Switching back to Loopa
On the same card: "Your account with and everything in it stays exactly where it is. Nothing is deleted, and the same join code brings you back."
# Tap **Switch back to Loopa**. # Loopa asks **Switch back to Loopa?**: "Nothing is deleted. You will sign in to Loopa, and your account with stays where it is." # Tap **Switch back**, or **Stay**.
The app signs you out of the gym and returns to Loopa, where you sign in again. Your Loopa account is exactly as you left it. To go back to the gym, enter its twelve-character code again.
The app is pointed at one place at a time.
