How do you feel? is the daily entry the whole Low FODMAP protocol is measured by. Your baseline is built from it, the five-question score is compared against it, and a reintroduction challenge is read from it. It takes under a minute.
It is part of the Low FODMAP protocol, which is part of Loopa Premium.
Opening it
- You → Your health → Low FODMAP → How do you feel? for an ordinary day.
- During a challenge, Log day N and Log the day after on the Reintroduction screen open the same sheet for that day of the test. See Running a reintroduction challenge.
What it asks
How has today been? Four sliders, each from 0 to 10 in whole steps, starting at 0:
- Pain
- Bloating
- Wind
- Urgency
0 is an answer: it means none. Leave a slider at 0 only if that is true.
Overall: choose None, Mild, Moderate or Severe. Nothing is picked to start, and Save stays greyed out until you choose one. A day you call moderate or severe, having been calm before, counts toward a challenge reaction.
Stool form (optional): Not recording is selected to start. The other choices are the Bristol Stool Form Scale:
- 1 · Separate hard lumps
- 2 · Lumpy and sausage-like
- 3 · Sausage-shaped with cracks
- 4 · Smooth and soft
- 5 · Soft blobs with clear edges
- 6 · Mushy with ragged edges
- 7 · Liquid, no solid pieces
"Stool form is one of the things the assessment compares against your baseline. Skipping it is fine."
Stress and Sleep quality (optional): eleven buttons from 0 to 10. Stress runs from 0 calm to 10 very stressed; sleep quality from 0 very poor to 10 very good. Tap a number to choose it, and tap it again or tap Clear to leave it blank, which shows as "Not answered". Blank is not the same as a zero. These two do not count toward your score; they are shown beside your patterns as context.
Anything else: "A note, if you want one", in your own words.
Tap Save (it reads "Saving…" while it works) or Cancel.
How the entries are used
- Baseline needs seven days with an entry before restriction can start. The protocol home counts them: "Log how you feel today. 3 of 7 days recorded so far."
- A challenge reads each test day against your own baseline. A quiet day is a result, so log it too.
- Your patterns places these entries beside the meals you checked. See Your patterns and the clinician export.
Everything is compared only with your own entries, never with anybody else's. If you share Low FODMAP with a Loopa coach, they never see these scores or anything about your stools. See What your coach can see.
