The scale is one number and it is not the only thing that moved. The progress ledger collects everything else your logs say changed over a window, and leads with it when the scale has gone quiet.
Protocols are a Loopa Premium feature.
What is in the ledger
All of it from your own entries, comparing the first half of the window against the second, or the first reading against the last:
- Strength records you set.
- Measurement changes, wherever you take them.
- Energy and sleep, from your check-ins.
- Consistency, as streaks.
- The lean-mass score, over its recent weeks.
- Food noise, if you record it.
Open it at Health › Protocols › Progress.
The plateau flag
Loopa marks a plateau when both are true:
- You have 21 days of weight entries.
- Your 7-day average has moved by less than 1% of your body weight across them.
The threshold is configurable, so a community may run a different one. Yours is shown in the line itself.
What happens then is that the ledger comes first. The wording is flat and factual: a trend that has held is a fact about a number. There is no failure language on that screen, nothing turns red, and nothing is described as stalled or stuck.
Why it is built this way
Weight over three weeks is a noisy signal with water, food volume, hormones and the time of day inside it. Three weeks of a level average is common and is not, by itself, information about what you are doing.
Meanwhile strength, measurements, sleep and consistency are usually still moving, and on a medication that costs lean mass they are the ones worth watching. See Protecting muscle while losing weight.
What it will not tell you
- Why the scale stopped. It does not know.
- What to change. It suggests no diet, no calorie target and no medication change.
- Whether a plateau is a problem. That is a conversation, and the Question for my prescriber field puts it on the first page of your appointment summary.
Getting more out of it
- Weigh at a consistent time. The 7-day average absorbs a lot, but not everything.
- Take measurements every few weeks. They move when the scale does not.
- Check in. Energy and sleep are half of what the ledger has to report.

Where this comes from
Every line is computed from your own logs. Loopa does not give medical advice and takes no view on what a plateau means for you. Sources for health information elsewhere in this knowledge base are at loopahealth.app/sources.
