You can delete your Loopa account yourself, without asking anyone and without explaining why.
How
- In the app: More → Delete Account
- On the web: Account settings → Delete account, then confirm from the email we send
- Or email privacy@mobieus.io and we will do it
You get 30 days to change your mind
Confirming does not wipe anything that day. Your account is scheduled for deletion 30 days out, and we email you the exact date along with the link that stops it. Nothing is destroyed until that date arrives.
Cancelling takes one tap, any time in those 30 days:
- In the app: sign in again. Loopa greets you with Welcome back and the date, and Continue My Membership calls the whole thing off.
- On the web: sign in and a banner at the top of every page shows the days remaining and a Cancel deletion & keep my account button.
Cancelling restores everything exactly as you left it. Your logs, your history, your community account, your streaks. There is nothing to restore from a backup, because nothing has been taken away yet.
Signing in during the window does not restart the clock, and nothing else you do in the app does either. Only cancelling stops it.
What happens on day 30
Deleting your account destroys the encryption key that every health value you ever recorded was encrypted with, in the same run that removes the account.
Everything you stored becomes permanently unreadable. Food logs, weight, vitals, measurements, supplements, medications, your profile. Not by us, not by a future employee, not by anyone who ever obtains a copy of the database. Progress photos are unlinked from disk at the same time. We email you once it is done.
After that date there is nothing left to restore. If you want a copy of your own record, export it first. It takes a minute, and you can do it during the 30 days.
What survives, and why
Two things, neither of which contains your health data:
- Billing and tax records, which we are required to keep for seven years.
- Moderation records, where content was removed for breaking the rules. Kept so a banned account cannot simply come back.
Cancel your subscription separately
Deleting your Loopa account does not cancel a subscription bought through the App Store or Google Play. Those are held by Apple and Google, not by us, and they will keep billing you.
Cancel in your Apple Account settings or in Google Play before or after deleting. The order does not matter, but doing neither means paying for an account that no longer exists. A subscription bought on our website is cancelled in your account settings before you delete.
See Subscription and the full report.
If you are in a Family Group
If you are a member, leaving is enough if you only want out of the group. You do not have to delete your account to do it.
If you are the organizer, deleting your account ends the group and everyone else's Premium with it. Tell them first; they will not get a warning from us beyond losing access. See Family groups and deleting your account.
Deleting some of it instead
You do not have to go all or nothing:
- An individual log entry. Delete it on the screen where it lives.
- What your coach knows. More → Preferences → What your coach knows has a Forget this on every answer. See What your coach knows about you.
- A connected device. Disconnect it and future syncing stops.
- A community post. Delete the post.
