You join by invitation only, by email or by a link the organizer sends you.
Steps
- Open the invitation link. If you are not signed in, you will be asked to sign in or create a free account first, then returned to the invitation.
- Read the family features terms. They are shown in full on the page.
- Tick the box and tap Join.
Accepting the terms is required, because the shared pantry is content other people can see.
What happens immediately
If the organizer holds their own Loopa subscription, Premium switches on for you at once, and your app shows "Your Loopa Family Group" as the source.
If you already have your own subscription, that stays your source. You are not switched onto the group and you are never told the group is covering you when it isn't. If you are covered by Apple Family Sharing, that stays your source too.
The shared pantry is off until you turn it on yourself.
One group at a time
You can belong to one family group. To move, leave the one you are in and then open the new invitation.
Invitations expire
Seven days. After that the link stops working and the organizer can send a new one. Declining is private. The organizer is not told.
