What happens if the organizer's subscription ends

Shared Premium comes from the organizer's subscription. If that ends, the sharing ends with it.

Billing retry and grace

If the organizer's payment fails, their subscription enters the store's billing retry period. Members keep Premium through that same grace window, exactly the same behavior a single subscriber gets. Nothing changes for anyone while the store is retrying.

When it actually expires

Members who were covered by the group drop to the free tier. Each member is told once, naming what changed.

Nothing is deleted. Every log, weight entry, photo, plan and personal pantry item stays exactly where it is. If Premium comes back (the organizer resubscribes, or a member buys their own), everything is there.

If you have your own subscription

Nothing happens to you. Your own subscription was always your source; the group was never covering you.

If you are covered by Apple Family Sharing

Nothing happens to you either. That entitlement comes from Apple, not from the group.

If your Apple coverage stops instead

Say the person sharing with you through Apple stops. We re-check: if your Loopa group's organizer owns a subscription, you fall through to group coverage with no gap. If they do not, you drop to free. Either way you are told once, and nothing is deleted.

If the organizer moves to the single-person plan

Same outcome as an expiry, for the same reason: Loopa Premium covers one person, so there is no longer a subscription to share. Members drop to the free tier and are told once.

The group itself survives. Nobody is removed, invitations still work, and the shared pantry keeps working. The household keeps planning from one cupboard. Switching back to Loopa Premium Family restores everyone on the next check.

Getting it back

The organizer resubscribing restores coverage for everyone automatically. No need to recreate the group or re-invite anyone.
