Your prescriber does not need a Loopa account. You mint a single link with a passcode, give it to them, and they fill in a web form once. Nothing they send changes anything until you have looked at it and accepted it.
Protocols are a Loopa Premium feature.
Making the link
Health › Protocols, pick the protocol, then Send to my prescriber.
Choose a passcode of at least 6 characters. Loopa will not invent one for you, because you have to be able to tell them what it is.
Choose how long it lasts. 7 days by default, 30 at most.
You get a link.
The link is shown once and cannot be recovered. Nothing in the app can show it to you again. If you lose it, revoke that share and mint another.
Give the passcode by a different route from the link. A link and its passcode in the same message is one message away from being useful to anybody who reads it.
You can have 3 open links at a time. Revoke one to make room.
What they see
A plain web page. They enter the passcode, fill in the form, and submit. They do not see your food log, your weight, your check-ins or anything else in your record.
Reviewing what came back
A submission arrives as pending with a card on your protocol screen. Tap Review, not Accept: the screen shows what accepting would change before it changes it.
For a bariatric protocol you get a per-section summary: which sections their version would replace, and how many lines are in each. It is deliberately not a field-by-field comparison, because the decision is whether to take your care team's version of a section, and a field-level list invites answering it field by field.
Then Accept or Decline.
When Accept refuses
- "Recorded for a different procedure." Their protocol names a procedure other than the one on your profile. Check your procedure, or ask them for a link for the one you had. The button is disabled rather than hidden, so you can see why.
- "Set up your bariatric track first." There is nothing for their protocol to attach to yet.
Both say what is wrong rather than failing generically, because a button that refuses without explaining is a button people press again.
Taking it back
Revoke the link, or delete the share. Either withdraws what they sent, and the published reference guidance comes back with a notice saying so.
Changing the procedure on your profile also withdraws it. Rows keyed to a procedure you no longer claim are not wrong so much as unreachable, and leaving them would have the app claiming a clinician protocol while showing you a different one.
What your care team cannot do
- See anything in your record. The form is one-way.
- Change anything without your acceptance.
- Withdraw a published supplement line. They can override one; removing it is not something the form can express.
