Progress photos are the private body photos you log over time in the Loopa app, and compare is the side-by-side view that puts two of them next to each other. You reach the gallery from the You tab: open The Archive section and tap Photos (titled Progress photos at the top). See Using the iOS app for the rest of the layout.

Adding a photo
On the Progress photos screen, tap the + button and choose Take photo or Choose from library. A "New Exhibit" preview then lets you tag the angle with Front, Side or Back pills before you tap Save to save it. Each photo is stored with its angle and the date it was taken. If an upload fails you'll see "Upload failed. Try again." and can retry.
Before you've added any, the screen shows a "No photos yet" empty state with a Log a photo button and a reminder that photos are encrypted at rest.
The gallery
Saved photos appear as a grid of "plates," each stamped with an EXHIBIT number and its angle label (FRONT / SIDE / BACK). Tap a plate to open it full-size. Pull down to refresh the gallery.
Comparing two photos
From the Progress photos toolbar, tap the compare button (the split-rectangle icon, labeled "Compare photos") to open the Then vs Now screen. It shows two photos side by side under EXHIBIT A and EXHIBIT B labels. By default it picks your earliest photo on the left and your latest on the right, so you see the full span at a glance. Under each photo is a date menu. Tap it to swap in any other photo for that side, so you can compare any two dates you like. When the two dates differ, a line beneath reads how far apart they are, e.g. "84 DAYS LOGGED."
You need at least two photos to compare. Until then the screen shows "Add at least two progress photos to compare them side by side."
Privacy
Progress photos stay private. They're described as encrypted at rest, and the compare view reads them through the same authenticated image loader as the grid. The same encrypted gallery, only visible to you when you're signed in. Logging a progress photo does not post it anywhere public.
The subject (avatar) photo is different
Separate from your progress photos is your profile photo, the avatar that represents you across the app. You set it from the profile card on the You tab: tap the avatar (it carries a small pencil badge) and pick From My Contact Card, Choose from Photos or Take Photo. A circular crop preview appears with "PHOTO WILL BE SAVED AS SHOWN"; tap Photo to use it or Pick Different Photo to start over. Once filed, the new photo shows everywhere the app renders you. Unlike progress photos, the profile photo is your public-facing profile picture, not part of the private body-photo gallery.
