The Workouts screen

6 min read · 1,024 words · 1 revision · Updated Oct 25, 2026

The Workouts screen is where training starts and where it lands afterwards. It starts a session, picks up one you left half done, and shows what the last week and month of training added up to.

Workouts are part of Loopa Premium, which every new account has for its first 14 days. See What Loopa Basic includes.

General wellness tracking, not medical advice.

Getting there

  • Health tab, in the The Log section, tap Workouts.
  • You tab, in Explore, tap Workouts ("Sessions, volume and your bests").
  • The + quick-log button, then Workout. This one skips the screen and opens the logger straight away, or reopens the workout you have not finished.

If you are on Loopa Basic, the Workouts row carries a Premium badge and opens the Loopa Premium offer instead of the screen, and Workout is not in the quick-log fan at all. If you reach the screen another way, it shows a card headed by the plan you need (or "This is part of Loopa Premium"), what it includes, and a button to see your options. The start controls are hidden.

Starting a session

  • Start a workout opens an empty logger. You add exercises as you go. See Logging a workout.
  • From a routine opens your routines, so you can start one that is already laid out. See Building a routine.

A workout you have not finished

Every set you log is saved on the phone the moment you tap it, so closing the app, losing signal or the phone restarting does not lose a session. When one is still open, the screen shows a card instead of Start a workout:

Pick up where you left off, with the session's name, how many sets are in it and when it started. Tap it to reopen that exact workout.

Beside it, Discard it throws the unfinished workout away. Loopa asks first: "Throw away the unfinished workout?" with the message "Every set in it is deleted. This can't be undone." Tap Discard it to delete it, or Keep it to leave it alone. Discarding also clears the rest timer from your Lock Screen.

You can only have one workout going at a time.

Sessions waiting to send

Loopa logs workouts on the phone first and sends them to your account when it can. If any are still waiting, a line says so:

  • "1 session saved on this phone, syncing when you're back online." means it will go as soon as you have a connection. Nothing to do.
  • "1 session saved on this phone, not sent yet." means your account did not accept it. The session is still safe on the phone.

The summary card

  • Program line. If you are following a program, for example one a coach assigned you, the card names it and says which week you are in ("Upper/Lower · week 3 of 8").
  • This week and Last 28 days: how many sessions you finished in each.
  • On plan: the share of your program's scheduled sessions you have done, shown only when you follow a program.
  • Not trained lately: muscle groups that have had no working sets recently, as a plain list.

Recent bests

Your newest personal records, each with a trophy, the exercise and what the record was, in your own units: "est. max 102 kg", "100 kg", "12 reps", "1,200 kg in a set", "best pace 8:03 min/mi", or a distance. Records are worked out by your account after a session syncs, so a best from today appears once that session has been sent. See Personal records.

Volume this week

A bar per muscle group for the last seven days, heaviest first, in kilograms or pounds. Every working set counts toward the muscles its exercise works. Warm-up sets count toward nothing. See Workout analytics.

Recent sessions

Each finished session shows its name (or "Workout"), a trophy if it set a record, the date, and a line such as "18 sets · 4,250 kg · 52 min · ~310 kcal". The calorie figure is in your energy unit.

Two small buttons can sit on each row:

  • ⊕ Save as a routine opens the routine editor with that session's exercises already in it. The tip under the heading says so: "Did one of these again and again? Tap the ⊕ to keep it as a routine."
  • Share with your coach appears only if you work with a Loopa Coach. It shows them that one session and nothing else. See Sharing a workout with your coach.

The rows themselves do not open. There is no session detail screen in the app. In a browser, the same list at loopa.mobieus.io/health/workouts opens each session.

Empty, error and refreshing

  • Before your first session: Nothing logged yet, "Workouts you log show up here with your volume, your bests and how the week is going."
  • If the screen cannot load: Could not load your workouts, with the reason and Try again.
  • Pull down to reload the screen and check for an unfinished workout.

After you finish

Finishing a workout opens Workout saved:

  • The session name, and Time, Sets and Volume.
  • What you did: each exercise with the sets you completed, and the note "Records and calories are worked out when this reaches your account."
  • Do this again? with Save as a routine, which opens the routine editor seeded with the exercises, sets and rep ranges but not the weights. Once saved, the card reads Saved as a routine.
  • Show it to your coach?, only if you have a coach and the session has already reached your account: "This one session, and nothing else. You can take it back at any moment."
  • Done closes the summary and the logger.

If you finish with nothing logged, the session closes without a summary.

On Android and in a browser

The Android app has the same screen and the same wording for sessions waiting to send. In a browser, Training at loopa.mobieus.io/health/workouts adds a session page, programs, the calendar, analytics and a CSV download. See Start here: training.
