Somebody in your family cooked and sent it to you. Logging it takes one tap, and what lands in your diary is yours.
Receiving a meal and logging it is free. You do not need Loopa Premium for any of it.
Where shared meals appear
Two places, and they are the same list:
- Health → Food has a From your family section near the top, with a count when something is waiting.
- The shared-meals screen behind it, showing every meal waiting for you.
Tapping a notification takes you straight to the meal it is about.
What a card shows
Who sent it, what it is called, which meal of the day it was, the date they ate it, its calories and macros, and when it arrived. Open it to see every food on it with its own numbers.
Logging it
- Tap Log on the card.
- Pick the day. It starts on the day they ate it.
- Pick the meal. It starts on the meal they logged it as.
- Set the portion if you ate more or less than they did (a half, one and a half, whatever fits). The calories and macros update as you change it.
- Tap Log.
The meal goes into your diary as ordinary entries. Edit them, delete them, copy them to another day. They behave exactly like anything else you log, and they count toward your day's totals.
You cannot log onto a day that has not happened yet.
Changing it first
Tap Modify & reshare. The meal opens in the ordinary meal editor with everything already filled in.
- Add, remove or adjust the foods.
- Then choose Reshare to family to send your version to the group (including the person who sent you the original), and Also log for me to put it in your own diary at the same time.
Your version is a new share. The original is untouched: everybody else still has what they were sent.
Ignoring it
Tap Ignore, or swipe the card away. It leaves your list. Nobody is told, and nobody else's copy is affected.
Reporting one
If somebody sends something that does not belong in a family meal, tap Report this meal and say what is wrong. It reaches our moderation team, and the meal leaves your list at the same time. You can also block a member from your profile, and a blocked member's meals never reach you.
They expire
A shared meal is offered for seven days. After that it leaves your list and cannot be logged. Anything you already logged stays where it is.
If nothing ever arrives
Check that Family meal sharing is switched on. See Turning family meal sharing on or off. Nothing reaches you while it is off, and anything already waiting is hidden until you turn it back on.
