Part of the Loopa iOS app guide.
The iPhone app has three separate searches in the community, each for a different job. All three are part of Loopa Basic.
Search everything: people, threads, replies and articles
Open Community › Forums and tap the magnifying glass in the top right. The Search sheet opens with a field reading "People, threads, articles". Before you type it says "Find people, forum threads, replies, and knowledge articles."
Type at least two characters. Results appear as you type, in up to four sections:
- People. Members, with their avatar and @username. Tap one to open their profile; see Your profile and other members' profiles.
- Forum threads. Matching threads. Tap one to open it.
- In replies. Replies that match, each with a snippet and the title of the thread it is in. Tap one to open that thread.
- Knowledge. Articles from this help library. Tap one to read it in the app.
If nothing matches, the sheet says there are no results for what you typed. There is no close button: swipe the sheet down to close it.
Search on iPhone has no filters, no saved searches and no alerts. Those are in a browser; see Search.
Search one forum
Inside a forum, pull the thread list down to show a field reading "Search <forum name>". Type at least two characters and the list shows matching thread titles from that forum only. Clear the field to go back to the full list. See Forums on iOS.
Find a person to add as a friend
Community › People › Friends, then the person-plus button, then Search by username. This search matches usernames only, never names, email addresses or phone numbers, and it finds only people whose Discovery settings let them be found. It is how you send a friend request. See Friends and following.
To add an accountability partner, use the username search on Add a partner instead; see Accountability partners.
